Here, you’ll find the softwares and tools and resources that I personally use for my business and productivity.

Email: Thunderbird (PC & Mobile). Both are free and open source. They do everything that I need: checking and sending emails.

Note-Taking: QOwnNotes. Free and open source. Supports markdown. Integrates with with Nextcloud. Doesn’t create a stupid database like Joplin.

Office Suite: LibreOffice. Free and open source. I usually synchronize all my files with my Nextcloud storage.

Cloud Storage: Nextcloud. Free and open source. I’m actually in control of my data and not being spied on (Yay!).

Vector: Inkscape. Free and open source. It does everything that I need. It also has a decent auto-trace.

Raster: GIMP. Free and open source. Probably not the best, but good enough for my needs.

AI Images: Ideogram. Best AI image generator that I’ve experienced so far.

Video Editing: ShotCut. Free and open source. Supports FFmpeg. Simple and ease to use.

Video Editing: Davinci Resolve. For more complex editing, but closed source. Actually insane free version.

Web Browser: Brave. Free and open source. Based on Chromium, so I can access the Chrome extensions.

Search Engine: DuckDuckGo. Doesn’t spy on you. Thank you.

Hosting: Ovhcloud. Web hosting. VPS. S3 Storage. Datacenter in Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada.

Email: Typewire. Privacy focused. Canadian company. Hosted in Canada.

Websites: WordPress. All my websites use WordPress. So many customizations, integrations and plugins. Add WooCommerce for online stores.

Recording: OBS. Free and open source. It records pretty much everything that you want.

Grammar: LanguageTool. Supports many languages (I use both French and English). Doesn’t train its AI compared to alternatives.

Ad Blocker: uBlock Origin. Actually makes the internet tolerable. Not even kidding.

Authenticator (2FA): Aegis. Free and open source. I keep my accounts secure with this phone 2FA application.

App Store: F-Droid. An app store that only hosts free and open source for android phones.

Chatbot: OpenAI ChatGPT & Microsoft Copilot. They are a bit different, but underneath, they are the same. Probably the best, but RIP privacy.

Local Chatbot: GPT4ALL. Useful if you want to run an AI chatbot privately and locally on your computer. You also get to choose your own models.

AI Image Generator: DALL-E. Probably the best. Used underneath by ChatGPT and Microsoft for image generation.

Local AI Image Generator: Automatic 1111. Useful if you want to run an AI generator locally on your computer.

Merch by Amazon: Productor. All in one extension for selling on Merch by Amazon.

Print-on-Demand: Podly. Has the most important features for print-on-demand. Amazing AI extension for Merch by Amazon.

Computer: POP!_OS. Best for creatives and gamers. Comes with the NVIDIA driver preinstalled.
