Is Microsoft 365 Worth it for Online Solo Entrepreneurs?

Hey, what’s up?

Today, I wanted to share my experiences with Microsoft 365 as an online digital solo entrepreneur. More specifically, as a Print-on-Demand seller. It’s up to you to decide if worth subscribing or not.

1- PRICING

Start with the pricing. I love the fact that it’s one bundle that includes absolutely everything. The pricing is very reasonable.

2- WORD

I don’t really use it. I mostly use OneNote when I need to create anything related to text.

3- EXCEL

I use Excel mostly for business reports that I do and keep track of all my revenues and expenses. I also have some lists of important things related to business that I keep in Excel files.

4- POWERPOINT

I don’t really use it, but it can be useful to create a visual presentation. Sometimes, I use Microsoft Whiteboard to present some stuff.

5- OUTLOOK

I love this app. You can synchronize all of your email account into Outlook. Even your Gmail account. I obviously use it every day.

6- ONENOTE

I love this app. I use it every day for many purposes.

  • I use it a daily journal.
  • I use it to write down my thoughts when I’m confused about a certain topic.
  • I use it to write and prepare scripts for these YouTube videos.
  • I use it to keep useful copy/paste and information that I use often.
  • I use it to keep important text information and ideas. Some sort of text database.

7- CLIPCHAMP

Create tool to create videos. You can do absolutely anything with this app.
With this software, you can record, edit, customize and upload videos to social media.
It also contains lots of templates, music and elements that you can use for your videos.

8- ONEDRIVE

Because of learning about Microsoft 365, I was using Google Drive and I made the switch to OneDrive.
It’s basically the same thing. The only difference is that OneDrive works perfectly with Windows 11. It is built in.
You also have 1 TB of storage, which is massive. I mostly use it to store my POD designs and also my business receipts.
Personal vault = I put all my sensitive information and cards. Is has an extra layer of security.

9- DESIGNER

It is still in development, but I am very excited about this for my Print-on-Demand business. One day, I hope that I’ll be able to cancel my Canva subscription for Microsoft Designer. Because it is going to be included in the Microsoft 365 subscription.

10- DEFENDER

Simple antivirus for digital protection. There isn’t much to it. You just install it and you let it run. Never had any problem with it. I installed it on all my devices: desktop, laptop and phone

11- WHAT I DO LIKE

  • Full package that includes everything that you could need at a very reasonable price.
  • The desktop apps, allowing you to work offline instead of always relying on web app like Google.
  • You can have desktop app and also mobile apps on your phone.

12- WHAT I DO NOT LIKE

I would personally love to have access to a VPN. There’s one included in Edge, but it’s not exactly the best. Google has a simple one. I understand why Microsoft wouldn’t want to create a VPN, because just like Google, they want to have access to your data.

CONCLUSION

So that’s pretty much it, I hope this was helpful to you. If this blog was valuable to you, you could consider following me on social media and if you have any thoughts or comments, you can leave them below.
